Entrance Prices
Prices are likely to be:
🟢 £8 for an all-day ticket (in advance)
🟢 £12 for a Weekend ticket (in advance)
🟢 £4 for a "Quiet Time" ticket, for entry after 2pm, and usable on both days
🟢 On-the-door price = £10
🟢 Under 16s enter for free (and don't need a ticket)
🟢 A carer helping a visitor enters for free (and doesn't need a ticket)

Looking, Buying and Being Inspired
We have loads of brilliant things for you to see, buy and do, including over 90 wonderful exhibitors selling a huge range of products for knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, felting and dyeing. These include hand dyed yarn, commercial yarn, needles, hooks, patterns, kits, accessories, project bags, yarn bowls, spinning wheels, weaving equipment, sheep locks, fleeces, dyes and a whole lot more! We also have guilds and associations who can give you loads of advice and demonstrate crafts you may not have tried before.

Travel, Parking and Accessibility
Newark Showground is about 3 miles north-east of Newark town centre and just a few minutes from the A1. There are two train stations in Newark and it's a short taxi ride from them to the showground. If you're driving, please use NG24 2NY in your Sat Nav. There's free parking for hundreds of cars just next to the entrance to our show. For more travel advice and maps, please go to our TRAVEL page. For people with disabilities, there's a large Disabled parking zone and there's full access within the venue.
Venue
Our event takes place in the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall which is the largest purpose-built exhibition space in the East Midlands. It's a superb setting for our event, with all the exhibitors on the ground floor and with wide aisles to avoid any chance of overcrowding.
Food and Drink
We'll have several places you can buy food and drink:
🟢 A cafe selling breakfast rolls, jacket potatoes, burgers and toasties.
🟢 A cake and sandwiches stall selling a mouth-watering array of home-baked goodies.
🟢 A food van selling breakfast rolls, jacket potatoes, burgers and toasties.
🟢 A food van selling other types of food.
🟢 2 coffee vans selling high quality coffees and other delicious drinks.
Free Show Booklet
Everyone coming to our event will receive a free show booklet when they arrive giving lots of information, such as a floorplan and and A-Z of exhibitors, as well as information on workshops, catering, etc.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to buy a ticket? You can buy a ticket in advance or you can pay on the door. If you pay on the door, the price is £10. Tickets in advance are cheaper than paying on the door and will be available to buy from 1st May using our TICKETS PAGE.
Does my child need a ticket? All children under 16 can enter the show free of charge and don't need a ticket.
Does my carer need a ticket? If you're a visitor who needs a carer to help you around the event, then your carer can enter the show free of charge and doesn't need a ticket. Simply explain when you arrive that the person with you is your carer.
Are dogs allowed? Dogs are not allowed into the event unless they are Guide Dogs or Medical Assistance dogs.
Do I need to bring cash? Almost all the stalls take card payments but a small number only take cash. Our second-hand magazines stall only takes cash into charity collection pots.
How do I get to the show using public transport? The showground is about 3 miles north-east of Newark town centre, just off the A46 towards Lincoln. There are 2 train stations in Newark which are Newark North Gate and Newark Castle. From either of the train stations, you should take a taxi or Uber to the showground, which has the post code NG24 2NY. As you get close, ask the driver to follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs. The taxi jouney should take less than 10 minutes, costing around £8 - £13. For more travel advice, please take a look at our TRAVEL page.
Is there a limit on how long I can stay at the show? You can stay as long as you like at the show, but please make sure you leave by closing time at 4pm. If you have a "Quiet Time" ticket, please arrive at 2pm or later.
I'm having trouble paying online for a ticket, what do I do? Please contact Nick using the details on our
CONTACT page and he'll sort things out.
Is all the yarn expensive? No, not all the yarn is expensive. There'll be a huge range of yarn from inexpensive to luxury.
Is there disabled access? Yes, the show is completely accessible by wheelchair. There are disabled toilets and a disabled parking zone.
Is it a long walk from the car park? There's a very large parking area which is very close to our event. Parking is free and marshals will be there to show you where to go. There's a disabled parking area that's next to the entrance to our show.
Is there food? There's a cafe and a food van both of which will be selling breakfast rolls, jacket potatoes, burgers and toasties. There'll also be another van selling a different range of food, and 2 vans selling high quality coffees and other hot drinks.
Can I leave and return? Yes, you can leave the show and return later on the same day. When you first arrive, you'll get a free Show Guide booklet. If you leave the show and want to retunr, simply show your booklet.
Are there plenty of seats? Inside our event, there's plenty of seating and tables. If the weather is fine, there's also seating outside including benches and a few picnic tables.
Can I stay overnight in a campervan? A few visitors will be able to stay overnight in their campervans at the showground. There's no amenities and no electrical hookup. Please let us know if you'd like to do this so we can book you in.
