Travelling by Road

Please use NG24 2NY in your Sat Nav or Google maps. You need to turn off the A46 at a roundabout a few hundred yards north of the intersections with the A17 and the A1. There are brown roadsigns to "Air Museum" at this roundabout which you need to follow. You'll now be on Drove Lane and very close to our event. Please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs to take you into the showground and to the parking areas. Our event takes place in the George Stephenson Hall.

From the North:

Leave the A1 at the junction that goes to Newark and the A46 to Lincoln. At the roundabout, take the second exit to get onto the A46 towards Lincoln. At the next roundabout, turn right to get onto Drove Lane. From there, please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

From the South:

Leave the A1 at the junction that goes to Newark and the A46 to Lincoln. At the roundabout, take the first exit to get onto the A46 towards Lincoln. Make sure you're in the left hand lane, so you can stay on the A46 using the filter lane at the next roundabout. At the next roundabout, turn right to get onto Drove Lane. From there, please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

From Leicester:

Take the A46 north and stay on the A46 as it takes you on the bypass around Newark. Stay on the A46 going towards Lincoln at the next couple of roundabouts. Shortly after the junction for the A1, you'll see an Esso petrol station on your left. At the next roundabout, turn right off the A46 to get onto Drove Lane. From there, please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

From Nottingham:

Take the A52 east and get onto the A46 going north towards Newark. Stay on the A46 as it takes you on the bypass around Newark. Stay on the A46 going towards Lincoln at the next couple of roundabouts. Shortly after the junction for the A1, you'll see an Esso petrol station on your left. At the next roundabout, turn right off the A46 to get onto Drove Lane. From there, please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

From Lincoln:

Take the A46 south until you're a couple of miles north of Newark. Before you get to the junctions for the A17 and the A1, there's a small roundabout which has a left hand sign to "Air Museum". Turn left at this roundabout to get onto Drove Lane. From there, please follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

From the East:

Travel along the A17 until you're a few miles from Newark. Follow the road signs for the Showground and Air Museum. This will take you onto a country road called Drove Lane. Drive along there for a few minutes (passing the Air Museum) and then follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

Travelling by Public Transport

The showground is about 3 miles north-east of Newark town centre, just off the A46 towards Lincoln. There are 2 train stations in Newark which are Newark North Gate and Newark Castle.

From either of the train stations, you should take a taxi or Uber to the showground, which has the post code NG24 2NY. As you get close, ask the driver to follow our yellow "Wool Show" signs.

The taxi journey should take less than 10 minutes, costing around £8 - £13.
